Contributions by non-state actors for more effective policies at sub-national level

Convener:
Mita Lapi, FLA- Fondazione Lombardia per l’Ambiente

Regions and cities are aware that any attempt to tackle the climate change (CC) challenge can be successful only through the direct involvement of all the interested social, political and economic stakeholders. To reach this goal, the COP21 and Paris Agreement recognized the contributions given by non-State actors to support more effective policies at any decisional level.

In this session key actors will illustrate and debate their experiences and best practices. At sub-national level particular efforts are addressing to the vertical and horizontal integration of the governance tools in the mitigation and adaptation fields.
